Best Sophocles Plays

Sophocles was one of the earliest playwrights. He is one of the three ancient Greek writers along with Aeschylus and Euripides whose worked has survived. It is rumoured Sophocles wrote over 120 plays yet only a hand full remain in complete form. In ancient Greece play writing competitions were held in their festivals and Sophocles won almost every competition he ever entered.
